This privacy policy is formulated by Strong Lumen (Developer: Shi ZhangShun) and applies to our application Strong Lumen (hereinafter referred to as "this Application").

1. Overview

This Application is an offline tool that helps you search for and control Bluetooth smart devices. We do not collect any personal information. No account registration is required.

2. Permissions We Request

2.1 Bluetooth Permission

Purpose: To scan for, discover, and connect to nearby Bluetooth smart devices.
Data collected: None. All operations are local only.
Is this required? Yes. Without this permission, the core functionality cannot work.

2.2 Location Permission (Android / HarmonyOS Only)

Purpose: This permission is required by the Android and HarmonyOS operating systems to enable Bluetooth scanning. The system forces this requirement — we do not choose to request location for tracking purposes.
What we DO NOT do: We DO NOT collect, record, upload, or derive your precise or approximate location. We never track your position, GPS coordinates, or any geolocation data.
How it works: The location permission is only used during Bluetooth scanning to satisfy OS requirements. No location data is ever transmitted off your device.
Can I deny this permission? If you deny location permission, Bluetooth scanning may not work on some devices, but you can still use other local features.

3. Hotfix Feature (Shorebird)

To fix critical bugs and improve performance, this Application establishes a secure connection with https://console.shorebird.dev to check for or download hotfix patches.

Data transmitted (non-personally identifiable only):

• App version number and build number
• Operating system version and device model
• Randomly generated device instance ID (cannot identify you)
• Patch package and metadata (version, size, signature)

Important: We DO NOT upload your contacts, messages, photos, location, communication content, or any personal data to Shorebird or any third party.

All communications use HTTPS (TLS) encryption. Patches are signature-verified before installation.

4. Third-Party Services

This Application uses Shorebird as a hotfix platform. Shorebird may temporarily store technical metadata according to its own policies. We recommend reviewing Shorebird's privacy policy. We share no personal data with Shorebird.

5. Data Collection Summary

This Application does NOT collect, store, or share any personal information.

6. User Choices

• Location permission: You can deny or revoke this permission anytime in system settings. Bluetooth scanning may be affected.
• Hotfix feature: Turn off "Auto Hotfix" in app settings (if available) or uninstall the app.

7. Data Retention

Since we collect no personal data, there is no personal data to retain. Technical metadata related to hotfixes is handled by Shorebird per their retention policy.

8. Privacy Statement

This Application does not collect any personal information. This Application is an offline Bluetooth tool with no data collection.

9. Policy Updates

If we add any new features that collect personal data, we will update this privacy policy and notify users via in-app notice or release notes before the update.
